Meet David
David Byrd, MNA
Senior Advisor
David is the Senior Advisor and co-founder of Capacity Blueprint–a consulting company focused on providing fundraising and board development capacity building strategy to small and emerging nonprofits. He has a Masters of Nonprofit Administration (MNA) from the University of San Francisco and is a graduate of Connecticut College, where he earned a degree in Economics. He has a certificate in Nonprofit Board Consulting from BoardSources as well as a Certificate of Financial Success for Nonprofits from Cornell University.
A grant writer for 15 years, David has worked and consulted for numerous organizations to help secure nearly $60 million for vital programs and services through numerous county, city and federal grants as well through private foundation funding. In addition to writing grants, David supported individual giving programs and event strategy as part of development teams. Currently, he teaches Grant Writing and Fundraising Strategy at Middlesex Community College.
David is the Chair of the Stonestown Branch Advisory Board, sits on YMCA Board Development Committee, and is Board Treasurer for De Colores Arts.
